charging system Q??

Postby d1 mule » Thu Feb 28, 2008 10:20 pm

ok so i took my LN61 surf out for a play in the water/mud last weekend, and after going in a water hole i had the "Charge, T belt, Filter and both (red and green) turbo lights come on. at first it was intermittant, it would go off over 3000 RPM then off completely but now its on all the time and buggered if i can figure it out, i dis-assembled the charging wiring cleaned all the plugs with CRC and it was ok for about 15 mins but now stuffed again.

Any ideas, this is my daily and without the alternator charging im gonna miss work or get stuck somewhere eventually.

cheers in advance :D

Probably inside the alternator.

How deep was the water? Does your vehicle have an external voltage regulator on the inner guard?

Definatly a charge circuit related problem though.
