GX71, G-series subrame fitment?

Postby YeMs » Mon Mar 03, 2008 12:29 pm

ok this is a long shot, bit iv found a ms**(sorry didnt get the model) crown at pick a part. would be 89' at the latest. has a G-series rear end from what i can see.

i know its a long shot but what i want to know is, is there any possibility that the G- series subframe from the crown would bolt into my GX71 cressida? unfortunately it has air bags so im not sure if it will. also will the front hubs fit the front of the cressida at all?

overall mission, getting a G-series subframe so i can run the LSD i have, and converting to 5-stud and probly bigger brakes on the front. its easied to get a yes, maybe or no answer off here before i get the old tape measure out lol.

cheers, Jens.

it can be done, ive seen an ma70 rear end put into an ma61.
i have pics if needed.

However the guy who did it said he wouldnt bother for a street car and sold it before he ever got round to trying it out on the track.

Sell g series, upgrade to true trac lsd for your f series housing and bobs your uncle.

yea its double wishbone so not even close to bolting into the flappy trailing arm setup. With alot of fab any irs could be made to fit depends on you wallet/skills. Easy way to go G is find the jdm version x7 series that has a G, Ive never seen one think it was the 1ggte version that had it would be hard to find/ dunno if they exist

deaf speaks the truth with the dollar get a true track lsd its only around $500 landed at the mo.
