Oil around the bottom of the Dizzy?

Postby Calvin » Sun Mar 23, 2008 9:02 pm

I noticed today that there is alot of oil build up on the bottom of my distributor and around the front of the block.

Would this suggest that the Distributor needs a new O-Ring??

What else could be causing this issue?

Motor is a 4AGZE BIGPORT

could be the main dizzy o-ring, but could possibly be an internal leak from the dizzy. unfortunatly, thats not uncommon

Not uncommon, but an easy fix though.

An o-ring will be less expensive than a new dizzy ...

there are 2 "O" rings tho if its the main one its easy but if its the internal one im fairly sure the dizzy reeds to be partly ripped to bits
