how hard is it to restore a seized caliper to working condition?

they are a single pot off the rear of a ep82 gt starlet, im going to sort out both rears at the same time even though its only 1 i think.

do i need a seal kit from toyota or can i just spray with wd40 and clean up? put into a vice and push piston back into place?

any help appreciated

try a g clamp, see how you get on. failing that time for rebuild.

kits arent that expensive.

where can i buy a g clamp from? how much aprox are they?

Yeah just buy a new seal kit, pop out the piston to replace it, and check its not all pitted or something weird.

Oh & hope you don't just have a calliper that likes seizing semi regularly

Being rear, they are most likely twist type. Try turning them.

good point, missed that.

g clamps arent expensive. mitre 10, repco, any place similar will sell them.

don't clamp rears. Unwind and wind them in completely to unseize.

Yeah, generally rear discs that have handbrake in them are an anti clockwise spin.
