Odometer Repair Question

Postby haydo » Tue Jun 24, 2008 11:37 am

I have a very strange odometer problem.

It sometimes just completely stops and jams up and then later on starts up again.

I've done a bit of research and I think it's a very small drive gear that sits behind the dial. Apparently due to the heat etc it can lose shape hence why my odometer stops sometimes.

Now ...

Who can fix these in Christchurch? How much am I looking at?

Or is it worth a crack myself? If so where can the parts be bought etc?

The reason I want to get it fixed is for work purposes.
