I've got a bit of a problem with my '89 aw11. A little while ago I found the battery had drained itself pretty flat, so I put a different one in and charged it up. This went fine for a while, but eventually it packed a sad too, so I got a good battery from another car, charged it up for a day or two, and chucked it in. I drove it a couple of times, then didn't use the car for a week or two at a time because of exams, the weather, etc..
Anyway, decided to go for a drive yesterday, doh, the batterys flat. Charged it up today and yesterday, drove into town, it barely started on the way back.
My problem is - somethings causing my batteries to lose power, there's a leak in the system somewhere. Putting one end of the voltmeter on the terminal, and one on a ground, I've got 0.1amps of current going through the system when the cars turned off. Did the same thing on mums car, hers only shows 1/100th of an amp. I'm at my wits end trying to find what's causing the battery to go flat after it hasn't been used for a week or so here - I've tried pulling the fuses individually while watching the current on the voltmeter, but none of them make the amps go down to 0.0.
The only other thing I can think of is the remnants of a car alarm - there's a siren in the engine bay. However, I didn't see any change in current when I pulled all the plugs and wires out of it I could find
