Ross pistons are pretty good, also known as ACL.
JE are awesome, but can be little $ for items not off the shelf.

Dude on Trademe is selling spool rods for 4AGE/ZE.
$648 buy now.

They look pretty good.

What do you want them for?
If turbo, the stock 4AGZE pistons are cheap and very VERY good. Can handle 25psi of boost. 4AGZE rods are also good. The early model 4AGZE rods are said to be the biggest.

I got these for my car, and took them down to the engine place, and they said they were very impressed with the rods. They seemed very strong whilst been nice and light.

I also went for the ACL race series pistons at 10tho oversized.

I decided to spend the extra time and money now so that (hopefully) my engine will be uber strong and last a lot longer.
