AE85 speedo cable Vs AE86 speedo cable...

Assuming their different since there isn't some form of adaptor on the end... at least not listed as a purchaseable part from Toyota...

Anyone have a AE85 speedo cable lying around they could measure. AE86 cable is 1530mm (thank you to toyota sponsor person)

the ae85 k50 cable will go right into the t50. there should be enough length to reach.

ive done it on a ke70 and my cousin has a ae85 with w50 that also works

If someone picks you up on the crossmember then they're being pretty damn fussy. Much like people who fail Starlets for having 4Ks in when they should have 2Ks :lol:

But the way I see it... that's their butt on the line... If they're happy to accept the risk the good-o. Besides, I didn't want to put my guys through the hassle.

im pretty sure my t50 has the k50 speedo drive, it doesnt reach so well when you put it through the hole in the gearbox x-member but if you kind of bend it in front of that section it works ok

Yeah. It doesn't look like it wants to reach if you thread it through that hole in the x-member.... I will try to other routes...

Anyone out there able to measure the AE85 cable? Mine is still in the car, and I'm reluctant to take it out if I don't have to.
