dog legging shifter- down sides?

Postby hsmidy » Thu Jan 08, 2009 6:55 pm

Hey

im doing an engine conversion at the moment and i didnt want to have to try and get the gearbox shortend, anyway the gear shifter sits a wee way back , its drive able how it is but for the sake of comfort i wouldnt mind dog legging it to in effect move it forward.

in any of your guys experiance seen any real down side to this.

its in a rwd car also (incase there was any confusion)

thanks

quite common, have seen it on a few cars, and had it on a couple of our own,

if you get it correct, it still feels fine.
