Not trying to be a dick or anything. Actually its not a converter. It works by sealing off the existing rust/metal from water and air.

If you follow the instructions and use metal ready it dissolves the rust and etches the metal ready for POR15 paint. To me thats what I would call a conversion. Rusty metal --> etched rust free metal.

I'd recommend a POR15 starter kit or super starter kit as you get all the stuff required to complete the job start to finish.
