Air Fan Mod

Postby beeker » Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:58 pm

This is my AE86 race car air fan mod. When we took the cage through to the front struts, we had to remove the factory fan. What i've done is taken a marine bilge ventilation fan, and ~hack fabricated both ends.

It works off the factory multi speed switch. Works ok but... i ideally need a more powerful inline fan. This one is about 4" in/out 120CFM 4.5A, and i really need a 4">5" in/out 180CFM+ to work as well as the OEM did. Like one of these: http://www.go2marine.com/product.do?no=52026F Anyone know a local supplier?

From the looks of it thats like a turbo vent fan, which is not in-line.

If you can wait for Monday I can run a few through the selection programme at work and see what the best fan is for you price vs size vs flow.

Should be able to come up with something even though I normally deal with fans about 100+ times as big lol.

When in doubt, down and out.
