7afe block heights vs 4age block height

Postby ke_25 » Thu Feb 26, 2009 7:43 pm

currently in progress of deciding to go 7agte instead of the 4agte currently in there,

will set up everything for the 4agte and run that for a while whilst building the 7a block,

my concern is since the deck height are different, about 15mm i believe? i was wondering if this will cause the engine to sit 15mm higher up in the engine bay, or do the engine mounts sit slightly higher up on the block,

this concern is for aligning the exhaust and inter cooler piping etc, as dont want to redo the lot

help is appeciated

motor is in a ke35 so is rwd

Cheers For help.

Sorry but your shyt out of luck.

crank block sump all mount in the same location,
and everything from the head gasket up moves up 17mm,

so you need to modify all the manifold and pipework etc when you change.
