dnt think its the intercooler piping as its boosting ok except when it gets warm and starts missing like a bugger the air fuel screw is wound all the way in, spoke to a toyota guru and he told me to look at the idle speed controller under the throttle body apparently the 4age is bad for isc sticking

e series engines dont have an idle speed controler on the throtal body. compleetly different to 4ages. your toyota guru should know that.

on the drivers side of the intake plenum there is an idle up control valve. check that is plugged in correctly. or if it makes any difference if you unplug it. if not then thats probibly your problem

the screw your refering to "air fuel screw" is the idle adjustment. lets a certain amount of air passed when throtal butterfly is closed on idle.
daily: ep71 turbo s 2et 90hp atw 15.5sec 0-400m (stock) current 5efhte + ct9b on 6psi, 13.7@158km , torque steer??
nothing sounds like a 2stroke engine on the rev limiter

Check out how old your spark plug leads are, the year of manufacture is printed on them if they are oem and if they're the originals then just replace them as they'll be long past their use by.
I'd say your idle problem is completely different problem.
