anyone have any experiance with the hks stroker kit aka 5age

me and my boss are doing up a ae82 nzgt shell he has braught we are fixing the rust and doing a mild motor and we have a cool peice of kit the hks 5age stroker kit that was on trademe that we got for 650$$ i thaught that was a deal anyone ever seen one in action we know about the grinding with a 1mm clearance ive never seen one in a 4age before has anyone else?

what displacement is this supposed to yield?

it shouldnt really be called a 5age as that would be a 1.5l

thats what hks sold it as 1711cc is what it strokes it to with a 11.6 compression ratio

yeah its still a 4a block, so you cant really define it as an engine code.

hmm so it has a 5.4mm longer stroke. the 4age blocks mustn't have alot of clearance if they require grinding.

that'll be a cool engine, i bet the cranks pretty nice.

more like pretty freakn heavy has the hks pistons that have a different design so it has a similar system to the later model 4age with oil squirters it has like small holes in the side of the pistons before the rings our plans are the stroker kit itbs from a 20v and a set of cams still never heard of anyone who has actually run this kit

it probably cost 10k or something when it was brand new, so wont be many floating around i wouldnt have thought

Look on club 4age there is plenty of infor about this kit on there

It can only be used with early model 4ages as the pistons only suit bluetop rods
