Delayed start?

Postby Quirky » Thu Apr 30, 2009 8:05 pm

Engine is a MAP 4agze.

When I go to start my car, there is a bit of a delay from when I turn the key to when the car starts to crank. Normally its like a one sec delay, yesterday the delay was like 5 secs??
Does it on some days and every other day the car is fine.
What's causing the delay?

Has been doing it for as long as I remember, but I just ignore it because its just a short delay. Only recently there was that long 5 sec.

as Matt said, fit a starter relay, it sounds like a voltage drop problem.
