Anybody Know What Part This Is Called?

Image

Im on about the silver ring through the hole. Im not sure if its apart of the cv, the problem is that my celica currently has a cv for a 2ws celica, it is supposed to have a 4ws cv. It measures how fast the wheel is going buy using a speed sensor but the sensor on mine cant measure the wheel speed because there's no ring.

Im going to go to toyota tommorow and ask if they can get hold of the part for me but i dont know what im asking for.

Any ideas?

thats the thing, only the 4ws one have the ring, it currently has a 2ws without the ring which is the wrong one.

Problem is that i dont know if the ring is attatched to the cv or if it pops of and can put it on to a 2ws cv.

I also dont know if they are different apart from the speed sensor ring.

Just found this aswell, looks like abs cv's have the same sort of system.

Could these be used or adapted to fit mine?

Thats looking through the hole where the sensor goes at the teeth on the pickup ring that I couldn't see on your car. The sensor seemed to work fine on a scope (on your car) and the fault code was 41. There was a huge gap between the CV and the sensor where the pick up ring should have gone which is why the code was thrown most likely. It'll be a case of finding the right ring or CV for the vehicle.

Wrong. Its for the 4WS.

Car does not have ABS, and yes thats the ring required. You cant adapt anything to suit. It has to be exactly the right size as its a press fit on there and needs the right tooth count. There are probably a few across the Toyota range that will suit but I couldn't tell you off the top of my head what will do the job
