getting factory gauges going, 1jzgte in a gx71 cressida

Postby docTRD » Fri May 22, 2009 4:25 pm

hi all, just finished my conversion and having a few headaches with getting the factory dash gauges working on the 1jz.

1) water temp - doesnt seem to be working, have used yellow/green stripe wire from jza70 loom to the temp wire on the cluster, are the resistor ranges quite different so its not going to work?

2) oil pressure switch light - can I wire the jza70 one onto the dash of the gx71 factory light, will it work

3) tachometer, i know its not going to work, the outputs of a 1g-e and 1jzgte are different, i know its been covered before but has anyone an easy solution? i know theres a diagram for a circuit that u can make to change the signal to suit the 1g-e gx71 dash.

someone must have come across this before, will be similar to a ga61 or mz10 soarer etc i imagine.
cheers
