different size syncros in w5*

ok so 1 of my w55's has rooted syncros so i pulled it to bits and got 2 more w5* boxes in bits from someone else who had stripped gears but the syncros were mint, only problem is both the spare boxes syncros are about 1-2mm bigger on the taper and my ones dont fit on the taper of the other 2, and its only 1st and 2nd gear that are the problem all the rest are fine, anyone else encountered this ?

all the ones I've done have all been the same.

heres some photos of the differences, one type has tabs on the syncro that lock it in place, the other type has clips that hold the syncro, easiest way to see it is 1 type has 3 locating tabs on the outside and the other type doesnt.
