Resistance For Speed Sensor (ABS/4WS)

Postby celica_xr9145 » Sun Jul 19, 2009 11:45 pm

Dont know if im using the right terms here but on the front left speed sensor for the 4ws, how many 'ohms' should it be approximatly?

Sorry if im not saying it right, i think its the same as an ABS speed sensor too.

Am going to borrow a multimeter but dont know how many 'ohms' is correct.

The problem is that the 4ws light has came back on AGAIN with the fault code pointing to speed sensor (41)

TBH its only a hunch thats its broken, i took a look at it but all looks ok, i gave it a clean but no good. Speed sensor ring is all clean and im going to check the wiring for any splits.

Im told that there are sensors in the back but since there has been damage to the front corner of the car before, im guesing something has been damaged.

Can anyone help?

and 99% of the time there is no visable problem with them,
usually internal fault in the lead or head.

thanks for the replies guys, still trying to find a multi meter to borrow.

As you said, there is no damage to the sensor so has to be inside :?
