Sweet cheers for the help, im guesing that is where it is leaking as it is the only spot i can find that looks oily.

Also my car has adjustable dampner shocks, was this a factory option or would they be aftermarket?

Is there any way of finding out what brand they would be? Would they be able to be re built if they needed it in the future?

Take photos and post them up, then perhaps somebody here can identify them.

Once they are identified, it can be established if they can be rebuilt or not.

Are they coilovers or just adjustable dampers?

If the colour is silver, they are most likely KYB Super Special for Street, they are not rebuildable. Or they could also be EL Sport (JDM) dampers, which I also think is not rebuildable. They are 4 stage damper adjust.

If they are coilovers, they maybe Cusco Zero Sport 1 (provided that it is not superstrut) - which are rebuildable and you can buy inserts for it (but I didn't think they were damper adjustables - I maybe wrong).

There should be markings or engraving on the side of the strut wall. Just write that down and someone will identify it for you.

They look to be kyb they have a lot of asian writing than kyb so that solves that mystery 8)

Also another problem is when reversing sometimes there is a noise which sounds like there is a stone in the caliper but goes away when you put your foot on the break, it doesnt do it all the time though, any ideas on this?

Stone in the caliper - they are more frequent than you think or have you checked the brake pads to see if they are getting down - heaps of people check the pads but then only replace the fronts thinking that the rears still look pretty good and then they get down and hit the little tab on the backing plate - correst me here everyone but i think they are built with the little tab to squeal when your getting overly low on the pads

I wouldn't say its easy. It took me ages to get the right sized socket for it, and was rather tight under the headers to undo it.
For future reference, its a 27mm socket for the block side main bolt
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983
