Postby d1 mule » Tue Sep 22, 2009 10:47 pm

hi all, the car is getting tuned next week and im trying to sort out all the odds and ends before then.

this was hooked into the inlet pipe when the car was 4age, i assume it is a air temp sensor, but it doesnt look like any iv seen before. it didnt seem to make a difference to how the car ran if it was plugged in or not previously???
oh car is now 4agte, running link G1 V5 (currently runs on old 4age tune)

what to ya think?

That is a standard factory 4AGE IAT sensor.

Normally they are screwed into the manifold beside the cold start injector.

dont know if they are V5 compatable or not?

yep standard bluetop air temp sensor. ideally you'd have a turbo air temp sensor which responds to temp changes quicker than a n/a sensor - but that one would be better than nothing.

LINK just recommend one of their sensors for best performance, ive seen 4agtes running no temp sensor without problems. just mount it between the i/c and inlet manifold or if you're running a standard bluetop manifold leave it in the original mount.
