Factory ECU with daughter board, tunable?

This is my ecu I currently use, came from japan like this.

This is my spare ecu. OEM 3sgte ecu.

This picture doesn't have the funny chip thing.

I was wondering if aftermarket chips such as the top picture can be re flashed? As far as I know, the modified ECU doesn't have fuel cut or speed cut and I think it advances timing more as the car drives noticably faster than the oem one.

Most likely able to be flashed, but you'll have to send them off to the original maker of the chip most of the time. $$$

Yeah I've got one of those mines ecu. No fuel/speed cut rev limits at like 8k or something crazy like that and timing is advanced

Need to send it back to them to get re tuned. I'll probably just end up getting the map-ecu2 piggyback

so has no one on here ever 're-flashed' these chips? looks to be a 36 pin...

Nobody has ever bothered to, the cost and trouble sending it to Japan, getting them to tune it to your specs without actually seeing the car, etc...

You can always wire in a Link or somthing and let the factory ECU run the other stuff
