heaps of grinding on each side of the intake manifold and a little at top of head as silvertop port is taller but not so wide

You bolting directly to the head or the injector plate?

To the head, very hard as no holes line up or can be drilled in throttle bodies. And where are the injectors going? Running a V8 supercar setup where they squirt straight down the intake trumpets?

To the injector plate, simple. Remove bigger blacktop throttle bodies and replace with smaller silvertop ones.

Same case for injector plates as silvertop and blacktop are universal.

not sure what your trying to mean with your wording affroman, but silvertop/blacktop quads can be swapped across as a whole unit... tb's and manifold bolt spacing is the same and all lines up
