VVT solenoid

Postby Dell'Orto » Mon Dec 21, 2009 12:53 am

Just in the process of lifting the motor out of the Levin for a bit of a birthday...when unplugging the VVT solenoid, I noticed the plug can move side to side quite freely. Is that normal? :?
Also I $&#$% hate where the knock sensor is, honestly what a prick to undo  Stupid $&#$% 20v's..

It is probably coil loose, should not affect performance of the solenoid overall.

yep they all will do this as the metal housing presses the solenoid together against an O-ring to seal the oil from coming out.
