tie rod taper

is the taper on all toyota tie rods the same? ie could an ae86 tie rod go into an ae101 upright??

Afraid not, a lot will be the same, but there are different tapers.

looking into making myself a "bumpsteer kit" for an excessively lowered ae101 with silly wheels, basically fixing geometry that I have ruined trying to get a look that I want

ah yep. Maybe drop into your friendly autolign/ripco/bnt etc with verniers and start going through some boxes

Or.... HPI Engineering in chch, they rebuild all ball joints. I am sure they could make custom ones

i was hoping to use an ae86 or s13 spherical rod end kit

even if the dont fit you could get a new inserts turned up easily for the sperical bearing type.

yeah that was the next option, otherwise i've been told by a ralliart tech to drill the taper out
