Alternator Re-wiring

Postby true?no » Thu Mar 18, 2010 12:47 pm

I got my hands on a 60A alternator out of a 1985 Ford Laser with an inbuilt regulator, how would i re wire to accomodate the internal regulator? This is on my 1977 Ke30 (it currently has an external regulator)

Depends on what feed the Lazer alternator needs.

Probably just a warning light feed.

Unplug your old reg and join the wire fron the warning light on the dash to one of the wires that go to where the alternator is,
and hook that wire to the Lazer alternator,
and use the original main b+ wire.
