ST215 Caldina Oil cooler

Hey guys,

Ive just brought a st215 and i had it up on the hoist at work and saw that some1 had disconnect what seems to be an oil cooler from the G/box, where the pipes come out of the g/box they have just joied the 2 2geather... THis gonna be alright?? should i connect it back up?

Does it look haxd? Coz that could be stock.

Not sure on the GTT, but on the 4WD 3SGTE GT4s, the pipes run to a trans cooler in the bumper. On the 2WD 3SGTEs (SW20) the pipe just loops back as they do not run a cooler as standard. So no it wont damage it just by looping back, but if you can id hook it back up, or install one if you can.

Im sure Fivebob can confirm or deny what they run stock

Theres defiinatly a cooler on the front, and u can see where they have brazed the pipes 2geather

Perhaps it got a leak in it then, and the previous owner was too cheap to get it fixed? In that case id probably try and find the piping off a GTT being wrecked and hook it back up. If you get a pic of it, we could confirm if you can use ST185/ST205 units, as ST185 ones at least will be much easier to find.

They run an oil cooler for good reason, best to get it tested and reconnect it.
