4agze questions

Postby z|gen » Sat May 22, 2010 9:26 pm

Hey guys,
Recently bought Slideways corolla he was selling,

have finally fixed it up, so now has brand new knock sensor, and brand new fuel filter..

Im just put a full tank of 98 in, along with some wynns injector cleaner..

still seems to have a couple issues..

seems to be running pretty rough, i think it may be an engine miss, but not to sure, any other possiblitys?

also when accelerating, the oil light comes on, any idea as to why? seems to be plenty of oil in there, seems to only be when under boost, doesnt do it when idling..

also where is the dipstick? just to make sure it does have enough oil lol

How about finding the dipstick and seeing what it has?

It should be between the cambelt cover and the alternator area.

the oil pressure light is wired up as a supercharger light... it used to have an oil pressure gauge with warning light

i don't know if it has run right since i blew it up... but i do know that it never ran well with a 4agze AFM, it was using a lot of gas so i got a good afm for it coz i thought the old one was poked, coz it had been opened up and then siliconed... turned out it had a 7mgte or similar AFM on it and it ran fine, but used gas, and it ran like ass with the factory AFM

alternator is moved to the front of the engine on the gze, so look between the cambelt cover and intake manifold

just to the left of the oil filter, probably hiding behind an a/c or p/s pump

that hunk of steel holds the front end down so that the car doesnt float away
