4ef ign timing

hi guys whats the ign timing on a starlet 1991.
it has a 4ef 1330 cc engine. (carb).
do i go off the 4efe which is fuel injected.
or stick with the 2e which is carbed like mine.
it has the electronic ign
te1 e1 etc but not sure to go with 5 or 10 degrees btdc
the vechicle has a flatspot down low and is driving like a car similar with
no vacume advance working.
im also not sure if its a fuel related problem as ifs its starved of fuel a bit under load.
any ideas
