3SGTE Fuel Rail on Beams 3SGE

Postby loudstealthGT-Four » Tue Jul 20, 2010 11:42 pm

Can a fuel rail and injectors from a Gen3 3SGTE be bolted onto a Beams 3SGE and work without modifying anything.

Cheers

Gen 2 and 3 are side feed, Gen 1 and 4 are top feed.

but if you're swapping the whole rail and injectors then the top/side feed part becomes a bit irrelevant, it's more a question of whether the details in the head are the right spacing, match the injector seals (or if something which will fit can be swapped) and if the bosses for bolting the rail to the head are the same.

Another difference is the beams 3sge engines (on the altezza anyway) run a blind fuel rail, so would need to change pumps and add a return fuel line too. Not sure about the head spacings sorry

What's the point in swapping the rail anyway?

Can just swap injectors for other top feed ones.

had a guy ask on trade me (who turboed his altezza) if they would fit as he wants to upgrade the factory altezza injectors

He could use GTT injectors, they will be straight fit.
