Yeah that was the old pontiac Lemans

I was coming down a street in the rain and was going rather quickly, I chopped it into second and braked at just the wrong time and it locked up heading towards a parked rav4.

Laas would later claim he was "bracing for impact".

The impact of course never came as I skilfully manoeuvred my way back on course, or at least that is my version of events.

Don't worry Phil you will defiantly get to drive it when I buy it.

Unlike your older sibling YOU have never put one of my cars into park when it was still going 30kph lol!

This was on a gravel road.

Who drives an auto anyway. He probably got mad with it and tried to break it.

I'd love a version 8 but trying to maintain it would cost too much. Guess this is why you are asking the question?

Yeah man thats the main concern

I've worked out how much the major parts cost

Shocks, clutch, brake pads etc

Its not as bad as you would think

I guess it isn't too bad but then you will add mechanics costs to it. I can do it all myself which helps bring the cost way down.

Why you after a ver7-9 STi anyway?

It's a combination of factors really

I like Subaru's, always have. I like the look of them and how they drive.

Also I like that from version 7 onwards all the impreza's get a 4/5 safety rating.

Also they are not quite as in your face as Evo's and they are practical enough to drive every day.

The main attraction to the 9 is the exterior look and interior updates and i just want a car that is as new and modern as possible within my budget

what d1 mule said, if your scared of blowing up the thing why the hell would you buy it?
its like "well i do like guns but i tend to shot myself in the foot"

even a subaru dealer told us to drive the thing to 80,000k and sell it no matter what,
