+1 for that!!

I have been told (havent seen this myself so cant guarantee it) but there are people in Japan with computers that get paid to go up to a merc before its on sold to (us here for example) and they just plug in the laptop, run the programme, and they can change the speedo to whatever you want it to show....and to add auth to the kms, they even add a full service history into the computer so if its ever checked on this end, it shows the car has been serviced every 10kms etc etc

There is a business up in auckland that re-programm the speedo heads to corrct speedos, eg s/hand one to match orignal k's
