You'll never make more power, just because you've got 4 throttles instead of 1.
The advantage is that there is a smaller volume of air in between the valves and the throttle(s), so throttle response is better.
For a turbo car, I wouldnt bother.
Even for an NA car, if the factory intake manifold is awesome, probably wouldnt bother either.
Lots of $$$$ for not much gain. Especially if it makes tuning your engine, and having idle speed control a pain in the arse.

That would be an expensive marketing exercise, for something that people cant really see or know what it does, tucked away in an engine bay.
I could only guess why Toyota made a 5 valve per cylinder engine with factory quad throttles. Got to be notably more expensive/complicated to produce than just 16v and single throttle.
Some people say as the homologation base for some race class? I dont know.
But I guess it makes sense that if spending all of the R&D on developing an engine like that, they would want to use it on as many platforms as possible to justify costs.
I guess kinda like how Toyota put a 1G of all things in an Altezza, probably just to use up a bunch of old cranks and engine blocks and what not they had kicking around from 10 years ago
