Spedo Problem Ae101 4age Levin

Whenever i go more than 100 kph the spedo of my car bounces back and forth like goes 60 and then goes 140 and goes back and forth. I dont know what the problem is. Can someone help me.

itl either be you speedo sender or a loose ground on the back of your dash.
try changing sender 1st should be cheap enough from wreckers. easy to change too.

Pull the sender out of the gearbox and check if the teeth are very worn/chipped.

quite the contrary though. i found mine only read accurately over 140kms when it was doing the same thing.

Where is the sender located in the car is it on the gearbox? What does it look like?

it is on the top of the gearbox right next to where the shifter linkages go into the box. is just one little bolt i think but just undo it and pull it out.
will be a wire going into it as well if that helps narrow it down.

Take your plenum off, gives you more light ;) Its on the firewall side of the box
