or can anyone recommend somewhere/ sell me a kit cheaper?

$400 sounds about right, those mitsi kits have the balance shaft stuff in them too.

The four seasons in Australia consist of "$&#$% it's hot", "Can you believe how $&#$% hot it is?", "I won't be in today because it is too $&#$% hot" and "Yes, the dinner plate size spiders come inside to escape from the heat."

You'd think that high RPM would be where the belt is under the most strain, but it's not, it's at idle ;)

Especially with bigger cams and stiffer springs.

I've had a gates belt which had a wobble. Didnt run straight. Sent it back and just bought an OEM belt.
My dad has seen this a few times as well as he has been buying gates for 30 years.

So you gota be carefull!

For Toyota stuff I just stick with OEM its its nearly the same price.

I know that. But it's also common knowledge that using weaker OEM belts can result in inconsistent timing at significantly higher revs due to stretching. Seen it several times when tuning engines that fall into the above category. The point I was making is that stronger belts aren't just for wank factor - they do serve a purpose ;)

i've always prefered gates over toyopower. never had a problem with them. OE for toyotas, dunno how mitsi prices stack up though.

toyopower are generally a bit cheaper

Gates warranty is for the factory change interval.
