B/T 4age oil sensor....

Postby Phothog » Wed Jan 19, 2011 12:57 pm

Trying to help a friend out, she has an AT210 Carina with a Black top 4age.
as normal 4age, oil everywhere, cleaned it all off.
found an oil leak out of the "Camshaft Timing Oil Switching Valve Assy"

Rang toyota, could tell me much more than $280~ +gst x palmy...

toyodiy doesnt show a o-ring, my question is for those who have played with them. does it have one? i cant pull it out as it is her daily driver.

Cheers,

Yes it has an o-ring, and it's easy to pull out, just remove the 2 bolts and the electrical connector then pull it out, find a new o-ring somewhere and your good to go.

there was post post on here about the O-rings a while ago,
people were looking for options as you cant buy the o-ring separate from toyota.

17*2V80 $3.50 +Gst from advanced seals in Vega place.
could of got it cheaper on account, but they have a minium account spend of $10.
