No, you just need to measure your current ones first, then go from there.
Actually, something makes me think that TE71 ones might be slightly larger diameter...can't recall offhand though.

my fuzzy memory is telling me AE86 and TE71 are the same. Maybe a change at some point though?

LSD was optional, rear end is the same as pre-facelift 86, though different calipers.

Remember TE71 only means it's a 1600cc, there are a number of specs within that and changes over the model life. Diff is only similar to AE86 if its a T series with many being only S series, although if it's disc brake it will be T series.

If its from a TE71, with 2T-B, then no its an S code.

te71 lowering

Postby lowseven » Fri Mar 11, 2011 4:47 pm

ok for the rear drum or disc = ae85/ae70/ae86 ke70 rear springs

wont mater if its nz new or a gt shape also etc, just maters wat year it is?

for the front if its early type te71 they have a different front spring and strut and top hat stud spacing, later type is same as ae85/86.

ke70/ae70 fronts are in another world again & not worth thinking about.

btw most lowing springrates are 2 soft
