o2 sensor for 1JZ-GE

Postby shouhei » Wed Mar 16, 2011 5:20 pm

Toyota part number is 89465-30250

Google tells me 3SFE are the same but what sensors from other engine are compatible/same? Who has actually replaced theirs successfully? Where can I get the cheapest one?

Thanks

Most* O2 sensors are electrically compatible. So if it fits, it should work.

Off course if you have heated, then you will need heated replacement.

* There some weird O2 sensors (post catalytic converter) that are of Titania chemistry (or wideband) but these are really rare on jap import.

Used to be the case,

but with the 4 wire sensors there are 3 or 4 common different heater resistances,
4, 8, 16, 22 ohm etc, and the ECU's check the heater current flow so the wrong one can upset things,

and there are also 4 wire airfuel ratio sensors which are different again to an oxygen sensor,
very common on subaru's and other jap import stuff.
