you can get the smaller thinner cutting discs, but they tend to break very easily if you rotate the tool off centre while cutting. The disc will break making shrapnel fly. WEAR SAFETY GOOGLES. As I wear glasses, I've had some close calls in the past when shrapnel has hit my lenses.

The better discs to use are thicker but can still easily break. please exercise some safety as your tendency will be to get up close to the piece when you are working on it.

I wear prescription glasses but dont hesitate to put on safety ones when working with cutting or grinding tools.
So as long as i keep the cutting wheel at about 90º to the surface i should be ok to go around corners?

I think it's more of a very thin foam type tape. After a bit of research 3m stock a tape suitable, although I haven't looked for it. Doesn't sound cheap though.

If you ever try to get the skirts off it will rip your paint off with it and also there's no give so the moment the car flexes it will just rip the skirts off.

Finally got around to cutting and fitting the side skirts.

The cutting disks didn't work very well so i resorted to using a hacksaw blade to cut the section off.
The glue i used was Holdfast Fix All Hightack Adhesive, which was also white and was a very close match to my paint.

Mine has some removable bungs that i think i can screw into (hole in skirt lines up to it) im thinking to use screws there and pop rivets on the underside as well as some sort of adhesive to hold the side bit.

Hopefully that will be enough.

look up a tape called VHB tape - it's used professionally by signwriters as a very very strong bonding tape. I think it's lifespan is 7+ years
