Yep, have been for 35years. I've programmed everything from microprocessors to mainframes, and more importantly I understand how software is developed, how to test it properly and prove it's reliability.

Being scared of something you don't understand is normal human behaviour, but trying to convert the masses to your brand of ignorance is akin to developing your own (crackpot) religion.

Now I'm not saying you can't get impressive results with lots of black boxes, but you'll waste a lot of time fighting the software in the standard ECU, and have to add more black boxes to fix the problems the other ones create.

In reality using piggyback systems is fixing the symptoms without correcting the underlying cause of the problem, which is that the original software in the stock ECU was never designed to do anything except run a stock motor under a limited set of conditions.

It gets much worse with more modern ECU's as they are designed to detect performance outside the normal parameters, and adjust the power levels back down to there original position. Adding piggybacks, or even just doing something like fitting a free flow exhaust will only work for a short length of time before the ECU dials everything back to stock power levels.
As they say, a little knowledge is dangerous.
I know enough to leave software alone unles you know everything.

Obviously, you haven't learned enough to know that, until you understand something, you shouldn't be offering advice. In doing so, without being in possession of the facts, is tantamount to preaching religion on a street corner.
