Ok so a few months ago i ripped of my outer cv joints andstripped one of my inner joints. I replaced one of the ball bearings as it managed to get a little rusty from lying around and degreased the inner joint and then greased it fully and replaced the boot. Put new cv joints on the outers and refitted the cv shafts. At the same time i fitted a new stub axle and wheel bearing. Now the car makes a strange noise like a $$% UJ but from the front. Could it be the new cv joints? They were pretty stiff when i got them and they're still quite stiff. It's not clicking like a rooted cv joint and it only does it under load although there is a very slight metalic sound when coasting. The car doesn't seem to have any issues with driving and it does make a bit of a noise when turning under light acceleration.
I've had the shafts out 5 times in the last 2 weeks.
