Strut brace on an ae85...

Hey all,a mate of mine has just fitted a 3sge beams engine into his ae85 trueno,does anyone know if there's a front strut that will clear the top of the engine?thanks

Thought I came across a couple on eBay USA that almost touched the bonnet. Will have a look later on for ya dude to see if I can find the ones again to see if they would clear the 3S. It was prob about 6mths ago that I saw them, and don't know if they are any good

On a dodgy note you could prob get a triangle one that attaches to the fire wall and either cut off the center bar (guessing might void the whole point of it in the first place lol) or get the center bar notched up to clear the engine?

You could reweld the centre back back in, just closer to the firewall to clear the motor? Dont know how much affect the rigidity though

It's an impossible question to answer, because it'll depend entirely on how the person has mounted the engine...

There may not be enough space for any off the shelf strut brace.
