You obviously haven't learnt much.
First step is to pull the sparkplugs and have a good look at them.
Look to see if they're all the correct colour , correct gap and no oil residue.

It's a JDM turbo car, no doubt it's been thrashed and abused and as said, built to run on 100RON.

i seem to recall some posts by fivebob a good while back (what happened to that guy anyway) suggesting that you can get good results cleaning carbon off by feeding small amounts of water into a running engine - literally steam cleaning the combustion chamber.

search might yield some results.

that doesn't mean the same things apply when it comes to modifying a GT-T

If the knock sensor is kaput it will throw a check light.
GT-Ts are quite sensitive engines. They don't like being badly tuned.
The boost control and dump valve system on them is a little more complicated than the average car.

Another thing to check would be oil in the intake system.

this....
turn the boost up, turn the motor into a expensive paperweight
its not that easy with Caldina's as people have pointed out
especially if you are a cheaparse and running 95/not servicing it properly etc etc

They said that was the cause of mine too. It wasn't.

A broken sensor should throw a code but it won't always cause the check engine light to come on. However if the calibration is out on the sensor it might not generate anything.

Have you checked the basics - plugs, error codes etc.

Best way to get rid of carbon - take it to a track and thrash the pants off it. It won't do any harm at least. 8)
