E110 Corolla body kits... WRC.

Postby RedMist » Sat Jan 21, 2012 10:01 am

Just weighing up options at the moment but with the TVR spending more time off the road than on it I need a fun car to have a play with. Was thinking of the E110 with a WRC kit on it. However don't know of anyone doing said kits or doing anything even close.
Anyone have any pointers?

Both ST205's are here. Problem is I simply don't fit in one. The cage we've built needs the main hoop pushed back a foot (which means cutting out the molly and starting again). Even then I've had to push my seat very central to get far enough away from the door cage work. It means I drive with steering wheel and pedals displaced outboard, quite severely.
The 185 isn't quite as bad, I suspect the wheel and pedals are placed more central than the 205.
Cutting the cage out and starting agian will probably be the way I'll head... but just considering E110 options.

I'm sure a new cage will be cheaper than and new car!

You guys kill off my weird ideas before I start to trim steel. Didn't realize the 2 door was so rare in NZ. Guess I'm looking for another shell to play with.... spare widebody 185 anyone?

There was some japanese site I came across years ago (that I can't find anymore) where they put an 110 front on a ae101 fxgt, with a full wrc look kit on it, looked mean, even had the different tail lights and everything.

Perhaps some weird google search may find the site?
