As was mentioned a few post earlier, I've got a gt2860rs on my car, full boost at 3500 and holds that to 8000 (actually starts over-boosting at that point), and once in the power band there's no lag at all, so pretty good turbo.

But, I reckon a gt2860r (no s) would be better, a wee bit smaller so should get full boost earlier at the expense of 50 hp - which would work out about 200kw atw anyway.

Yea cheers, one of those would be nice, but I think I'm steering towards modding the manifold to twinscroll for a late evo td05 - lost of cheap easy upgrades for these things and they make pretty good power in stock form. If i get the twinscroll right it should spool up pretty quickly

Thats good to know, have just brought similar turbo for my car, .48 exh and 60trim Comp wheel, should be heaps better midrange than my old t3/4 then..

My old levin ran twinscroll TD05h-16g. 14psi at around 3500, come on boost well also, that was on a smallport. Would of ran same turbo on my trueno but CBF modding t3 mani to suit.

yea i'm just liking the twin scroll idea, and with this manifold it might not be a big deal to mod it to suit, in the meantime i've got a shitload of other stuff to do on the car so it'll run the td04 for a while yet
