Hi,

I am thinking about buying a TRD dash with around 9000km. My car done around 160,000km. Is it possible to adjust the TRD dash to match my car's actual KM travelled? It's old style odometer reading - not the digital one. Who does this service in Auckland?

You have to take it to a legit instrumentation place to get it done propperly....

Or just get a pin and flick the numbers. Be careful not to slip and scratch them tho.

I wouldn't even bother personally. Car jam will show a massive drop in mileage, but that's about it. Unless it's a diesel I don't think it matters what the odometer says.

It doesnt matter unless you try and pass off the car as genuinely having less k's. But yeah, Robinson Instruments will sort it out

i was wondering on a dash that has an electronic speed signal, can u just apply 12v to it so that the needle goes right up to 180kph and the ODO numbers tick over for you??

Speed signal is almost always a waveform and probably goes through a control unit or two before it gets to your dash so giving it 12V won't achieve much.

AFAIK digital speedo's work on a low voltage pulse signal, so applying 12v to it will probably just end in snap crackle pop.

If the signal is electronic (ie not cable) it will be square wave 12V.
