power steering pump bracket pulley

Postby mlewis » Sun May 13, 2012 10:45 am

My power steering pump bracket has a tensioner pulley on it, while i was pick a part yesterday on a different mission i notice the 4ages they had there didn't have the pulley on the bracket. If I'm only running the power steering pump can i just run the belt straight off the motor without the tensioner or do i still need the pulley on the bracket?

I use to use the long tensioner bolt and the bolt it threads throughfrom a adjuster pulley , and screw it into the side of the pump (there is a threaded hole suitable) so there was some adjustment,
I dont use the pulley.
and just pivot powersteering pump on the base bolt
