Can you not short circuit the pins in it to effectively read the codes yourself?

Hi,
If you are after more than finding trouble codes (I am aware about 101 of those for OBD-I) then you might be interested in the following tool I am selling:

You'll be able to see on PC and record graphs of the following:
- Injection time (ms)
- Ignition timing angle (deg)
- IAC Valve (% from 255)
- Engine speed (rpm)
- MAP (kPa)
- Coolant Temperature(deg.C)
- Throttle/Pedal position (deg)
- Vehicle speed (km/h)
- Target Air/Fuel (left/right) (%)
- Enrichment after engine start (on/off)
- Warming enrichment (on/off)
- Knock sensor (detonation) (on/off)
- Starter (on/off)
- Idle switch (opened/closed)
- A/C (on/off)
- Park/Neutral switch (on/off)
- O2 sensor (Lean/Rich)
