stainless steel, unless its the real expensive stuff has far too much expansion/contraction due to the heat involved to last any real length of time without cracking. Steam pipe is the best for longevity without having to sell off some organs to afford it.

I bet your car spools well. and your current set up won't crack.
Also, the factory cast one is the only manifold that has all six ports running in the same direction(angle) as the six exhaust ports on the JZ heads. i.e. 4 on angles, 2 straight.
PORT THAT SUCKER!!!

Its not a cast one. Dont want to convert back to twins as half the vsv's n stuff have been removed and would probaly cost me just as much as fixing this setup.

Steam tube can crack, seen it firsthand with a manifold on my old car.

This manifold had been in service for 2-3 years, but still...it did crack pretty bad.

iv bought one of them looks to be of a pretty good quality for the price, will be making some supports for the down pipe anyway, which is why manifolds usually crack

Steam tube cracks if you have alot of stress on it.
ie not running a flexi in your exhaust system.

Stainless steel cranks, even 321 stainless from Burns steel.
Having braces etc does help and using flexi joints every where you can on the ex system (dump return).

The only stainless that lasts long is the same thickness as the steam tube and pretty much weighs the same but costs double.

How much work is involved to change back to the stock twins? Wont be controled by the ecu as I no longer have the vsv's
