So you're losing clutch pedal pressure - but bleeding the hydraulic system brings it back to normal - and you're convinced that the problem isn't related to the hydraulic clutch system?

Unless its somehow slipping and boiling the bejesus out of the clutch fluid? Seems unlikely, but cars :lol:

I've had a couple of cars with leaking clutch m/c, and one with leaking brake m/c (which was apparent through bubbling paint on the master) - somehow I merged the two ideas... :D But yeah, sounds like a seal somewhere in the system

I think this is where the OP tells us its a turbo conversion, and the hot side of teh turbo or the 'zaust is sitting 5mm from the slave cylinder and the heat is boiling the fluid..
Reality: A nasty hallucination that is caused by excess blood in the alcohol stream.

ive had a leaking master lose pressure depending how quick you stomped the pedal (fluid passing by the seals).

The other time ive had this was in a subaru where it was cooking the fluid on boost (clutch master above turbo) and the clutch would go all soft

No I'm not convinced of that, I am convinced of your ignorance though. Thanks for you valuable input, I appreciate it.

Everything is as stock on a 4AGZE, no turbo, I haven't left any info out.

A perfect example of how this happens is I'll be on the highway and shift down a gear to pass, it will change perfectly as per usual. I will accelerate and pass then go to change to change up and my clutch will feel as if it has lost pressure from word go. Then my clutch will be like that until I get my destination and can bleed it again. If I drive carefully I can avoid the problem almost completely.

I have a theory that the torquing over of the engine might be pulling on my clutch lines and allowing them to draw air so I'm going to run over the entire system with pipe spanners today (Even though I know there all tight enough :/ )

Like I said to begin with, this is an odd problem, I have the required experience to track down common clutch hydraulic or mechanical issues, this is not a common issue like a bypassing master cylinder.

Dude can get $&#$%. There are lots of knowledgeable people on this forum that are happy to help people out but with a shitty attitude like this, don't expect to hear from [m]any of them.

And yes I realise that this will earn me more rebuke from the douche-canoe but I have a sneaky feeling that I don't give a shit.

Quite clearly sounds like a faulty master or slave cylinder.
You bleed it, it gets air in it again. Doesn't matter if its new, new stuff can be faulty. Or maybe a fitting is leaking.

Extended load, or extended use? Of definitely load id be looking for a heat issue. Stock exhaust? Missing heat shields? Non stock routing of clutch lines? Shoukdnt be hard to find as it will be farking hot

I have diagnosed hundreds of faulty master/slave cylinders and I'm not convinced its a problem with either. I replaced the master as it was leaking eternally into the drivers footwell.

I think your onto something revhead. I have a stock cast manifold and no heatshields.

The only other thin I can think of is a clutch issue like a thrust bearing sticking on the spline? Clutch fork and/or spring sticking?

I am wondering how you bleed your clutch every time you stop?

So you lose pedal pressure when you stamp on the clutch in between gears?

Common enough on the Subarus that you can buy repair kits for them for the snouts wearing. Tends to give symptoms of a dodgy feeling clutch pedal intermittently and a sticking clutch every so often...

I don't think its anything like this. I had my engine out not long ago and the clutch was almost new (Daiken, Excedy) and in great condition. The gearbox spline was in good condition (Dam meaty spline for a 1600) and I lubed it with a leftover packet of that grease that comes with clutch kits I had laying about from another clutch I did.

Oh and other guy I bleed my clutch at my destination, driving with no clutch/partial pedal with a supercharged car on state highway 2 isn't the end of the world.

I've only just started to really drive this vehicle, my engine is under 10,000kms and with how much time and money I put into it, its had a fairly easy going run in, more long strong pulls then high revving stuff etc.

When you bleed the clutch, do you see any bubbles coming out ??

Did you change the slave cylinder at the same time as the master ??

If you drive the car home with this problem, and let it sit overnight
without bleeding the clutch, is it back to normal in the morning ??
